“I read for growth, firmly believing that what you are today and what you will be in five years depends on two things: the people you meet and the books you read.” ~ Twyla Tharp
I've been on a bit of a reading streak this year, and it's been very energizing, and very inspiring. I've been quoting from many of these books in my "spark of the day" posts, so this list should come as no surprise. But I liked the idea of seeing the books listed all in one place, and hope it's interesting to you too. Here is what I've been reading in 2015, so far, in no particular order:
Writing Down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg
The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
Show Your Work by Austin Kleon
Still Writing by Dani Shapiro
What To Do When It's Your Turn (and it's always your turn) by Seth Godin
Let Your Life Speak by Parker J. Palmer
The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown
Playing Big by Tara Mohr
The Artist Way by Julia Cameron
Dinner: The Playbook: A 30-Day Plan for Mastering the Art of the Family Meal by Jenny Rosenstrach
Improv Wisdom: Don't Prepare, Just Show Up by Patricia Ryan Madson
The Sketchnote Handbook by Mike Rohde
Feeling grateful to these authors for sharing their ideas and their words. Thank you.
